Wer Projects signs two Protocol d’Accord with the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo and SNEL

March 13, 2017 London

WerProjects LTD, a subsidiary or WorldEnergyRangers LTD (UK/Malta & Switzerland Engineering Consulting Company), has signed two important Protocol d’accord with the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and with the local utility SNEL (Societé Nationale d Electricité S.A).

As part of these agreement, WerProjects is now in the position to start the process of Land Selection, as well as do all the technical and formal steps necessary for the implementation of the first 50 megawatts Photovoltaic Power Plant, in the context of a plan encompassing several plants for a total of 500 megawatts.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, with its GDP growth averaging 7.7% in the last 7 years, and a clear commitment from the Government to act fast in bringing electricity to the large part of the country currently lacking connection to the main grid, is the ideal country to develop “small and effective” projects, with a quick return of investment in a win-win-win (country-partner-investor) scenario.

Details of EPC Partners, as well as financing partners, will be announced in a forthcoming Press Release.
